Lancaster County is seeking an entry-level Caseworker Trainee within the County Behavioral Health/Developmental Services Agency. You will begin with formal and informal training to master locating, coordinating, and monitoring services for individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or autism.

After a six-month probation, employees are promoted to the Caseworker classification. A bachelor’s degree with 12 credits in social sciences is required, along with ability to pass pre-employment checks

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree includes, or is supplemented by, 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice or related social sciences.
• Equivalent combination of experience and training with 12 college credits in the listed areas.

Responsabilidades

• Participates in training to learn the three functions of support coordination: locating, coordinating and monitoring.
• Learns about community resources and agency-funded services through reviews and site visits.
• Manages a caseload of up to 35 clients with regular contact and monitoring.
• Performs entry-level social services duties to assist individuals and families in achieving better outcomes.
