Job summary

Chico's FAS, Inc. in Albuquerque, NM is seeking a capable Retail Associate to support sales operations across the store, including POS transactions, merchandise handling, and stockroom organization.

You will receive, store and replenish merchandise, assist with visual displays and signage, and help maintain a friendly, efficient checkout experience for every customer. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Processes merchandise, ensuring items are properly stored, ticketed and located; coordinates store transfers and locate requests.
• Ensures visual materials are received and processed; supports pricing changes and markdowns.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of the stockroom and boutique.
• Assists with MAPS customer service principles and omni-channel experiences at checkout.

Position Objective

This position is responsible for performing various functions that support the sales operations of the stores including, POS transactions, merchandise handling, stock processing, and stockroom organization. Receives, stores, and replenishes sales floor merchandise and stocks merchandise. May periodically work sales floor.

Functional Responsibilities

Operational Excellence

• Processes merchandise, ensuring items are properly stored, ticketed and easily located for replenishment for the sales floor, reorganizes merchandise as needed to maximize stock space.
• Ensures new products are properly merchandised and represented in a timely manner.
• Correctly enters all receiving documents into the computer system, reconciles merchandise invoices to items received as applicable. Accurately and timely completes store-to-store transfers and Locate requests.
• Ensures the visual packet materials, props and signage are received and processed in a timely manner, properly stores stockroom hardware, hangers, sign holders, etc.
• Participates in pricing changes and markdowns.
• Alerts store management to cash supply needs.
• Assists with visual directives, including floor sets, window changes, visual presentations, signage placement, etc. as directed.
• Assists with boutique cleanliness and organization

Customer Experience

• Models, supports and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles and standards, offering a cohesive omni channel experience.
• Ensures a fast and efficient register experience, remaining current on policies regarding payments, coupon acceptance, returns and exchanges, security practices and other applicable operations.
• Reinforces buying decisions at the checkout and achieves add on goals including gift card sales.
• Signs up clients for reward program.
