Job summary

Renew Residential Services LLC is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide quality care in residents' homes and communities. You will support independence, safety, dignity, and overall well-being through person-centered care and positive support, making a meaningful difference daily.

The role offers full-time day shifts with a sign-on bonus for eligible hires after 90 days of employment with good attendance, and opportunities for growth within a values-driven

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Background checks and screenings will be conducted.
  • Experience in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings preferred.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred; HIPAA training a plus.
  • Medication administration and care plan implementation experience desirable.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; long shifts require stamina.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and compassionate approach toward people with disabilities or age-related conditions.
  • HIPAA familiarity to protect patient privacy.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and assist with eating; maintain clean dining environment.
  • Assist clients with mobility.
  • Implement individualized care plans for each resident’s needs.
  • Implement behavior support strategies and document accurately.
  • Administer medications per policy and training.
  • Maintain a safe, clean living environment.
  • Engage clients in social activities and community outings.
  • Document progress with detailed notes on observations and care provided.
  • Communicate professionally with supervisors, families, and external providers.
  • Respond to emergencies, incidents, and safety concerns.
  • Uphold company policies and state regulations.

Essential Responsibilities


  • Assist the clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support

  • Support clients during meals by preparing nutritious meals, assisting with eating as needed, and maintaining a clean dining environment

  • Assist clients with mobility

  • Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, including developmental disabilities, behavior support plans, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, autism support, and memory care strategies

  • Implement behavior support strategies as trained and document accurately

  • Administer medications in accordance with company policy and training

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment

  • Engage clients in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and mental stimulation

  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and laundry

  • Document clients progress through detailed notes on patient observation, behavior changes, and care provided

  • Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, families, and external providers

  • Respond appropriately to emergencies, behavioral incidents, and safety concerns

  • Uphold all company policies, ethical standards, and state regulations



Qualifications


  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Ability to pass background checks and required screenings

  • Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes or home & community care settings is preferred

  • Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus

  • Experience with medication administration and care plan implementation is desirable

  • Ability to lift heavy objects safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; physical stamina for long shifts is essential

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work compassionately with people with disabilities or age-related conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease

  • Familiarity with working within HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality

  • Valid driver’s license may be required for community outings or transportation assistance for full time day shift positions

  • A caring attitude combined with patience, flexibility, and excellent communication skills
