Job summary

The State of Missouri seeks a Support Care Assistant in Sikeston, MO to provide one-on-one client care and support daily living activities. You will observe, monitor health, and assist with treatment plans under supervision.

Shifts include day or night with overtime as required. Must have a high school diploma or GED, 1–2 years of relevant experience, and pass Level One Medication Aide certification within one month. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and hold a valid driver license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Must pass Level One Medication Aide certification within 1 month.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on direct care, observe and monitor clients.
• Assist with activities of daily living (feeding, bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Develop and implement habilitation or treatment plans.
• Teach client skills related to self-help and socialization.
• Assist with basic health care and vital signs checks.
• Record fluid intake/output and report changes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, therapeutic environment.
• Pass medications as a Medication Aide after certification.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Background check required.
