Job summary

Saks Fifth Avenue is seeking a Sales Support Assistant to maintain merchandise organization and perform daily administrative tasks that support an elevated store environment and an outstanding client experience.

You will handle special orders, assist with events, process receipts, and contribute to stockroom controls while adapting to changing priorities and ensuring accuracy.

Qualifications

• Prior retail experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing tasks.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Process, track, and follow up on special orders and repair requests; communicate status to client advisors.
• Assist with special events / Made to Measure / truck shows; process and reconcile invoices and client orders.
• Check in/receive new merchandise, organize backstock per division requirements.
• Place product in the specified area of the department as directed by managers.
• Complete merchandise placements to maintain standards amid changing priorities.
• Process damages, reticketing, mark out of stocks and RTVs.
• Complete markdowns; adjust signs and move products accordingly.
• Maintain daily reports and SPIFF entries; support stockroom controls.

YOU WILL BE:

The Sales Support Assistant, is responsible for creating/maintaining merchandise
organization and administrative day-to-day tasks to support operational excellence and an elevated store environment with the goal of improving the associate and client experience.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Processes, tracks, and follows up on special orders and repair requests; communicate status to client advisors.
• Assists with special events / Made to Measure / truck shows; processes and reconciles necessary invoices and client orders.
• Responsible for checking in / receiving new merchandise (includes ticketing, backstock organization) per division requirements.
• Per guidance and direction of Group/Sales Manager or Assistant Sales Manager, place product and merchandise in the specified area of the dept
• Based on changes in business priorities, complete necessary merchandise placements to ensure merchandise standards are followed
• Processes damages, reticketing, mark out of stocks and RTVs.
• Complete markdowns; signs and moves product once marked.
• Demonstrates operational skills by keeping track of daily reports and SPIFF entries, and checking receipts; ensures department and stockroom controls are being executed

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

Prior retail experience preferred

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to shift focus quickly depending on business objectives
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and ability to have flexibility with competing task
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with MS Office Product Suite preferred
• Certain roles may require standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds
• Associates must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays
