Job summary

Neiman Marcus in Dallas is seeking a Sales Support Assistant to maintain merchandise organization and perform administrative tasks to support an elevated store environment and client experience.

You will process special orders and repairs, assist with events, receive merchandise, and ensure standards across the department. This role requires detail orientation, independence, and flexibility with competing tasks, plus MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to shift focus quickly depending on business objectives.
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and flexibility with competing tasks.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office Product Suite preferred.
• Standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 10 pounds may be required.

Responsibilities

• Process, track, and follow up on special orders and repair requests; communicate status to client advisors.
• Assist with special events / Made to Measure / truck shows; process and reconcile invoices and client orders.
• Check in / receive new merchandise; ticketing and backstock organization.
• Place product and merchandise in department areas as directed by management.
• Update merchandise placements as business priorities change to meet standards.
• Process damages, reticketing, markouts and RTVs.
• Complete markdowns; signage and moves of product.
• Maintain daily reports, SPIFF entries, and verify receipts; uphold stockroom controls.

You Will Be

The Sales Support Assistant, is responsible for creating/maintaining merchandise organization and administrative day-to-day tasks to support operational excellence and an elevated store environment with the goal of improving the associate and client experience.

What You Will Do

Processes, tracks, and follows up on special orders and repair requests; communicate status to client advisors.

• Assists with special events / Made to Measure / truck shows; processes and reconciles necessary invoices and client orders.
• Responsible for checking in / receiving new merchandise (includes ticketing, backstock organization) per division requirements.
• Per guidance and direction of Group/Sales Manager or Assistant Sales Manager, place product and merchandise in the specified area of the dept
• Based on changes in business priorities, complete necessary merchandise placements to ensure merchandise standards are followed
• Processes damages, reticketing, mark out of stocks and RTVs.
• Complete markdowns; signs and moves product once marked.
• Demonstrates operational skills by keeping track of daily reports and SPIFF entries, and checking receipts; ensures department and stockroom controls are being executed
