The Supply TechnicianPart-Time will support our government customer handling supply, warehouse, and inventory management operations in a VA hospital setting. This position plays a critical role inmaintaininginventory accuracy, supportinglogisticsoperations, and delivering high-quality customer service.Supply Technicians perform a range of inventory control and distribution tasks using Government-approved systems and established workflows, ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Perform barcode scanning, inventory tracking, andreplenishment ofstock to authorized levels.
- Conduct routine and periodic inventory counts;identify, research, and resolve discrepancies.
- Monitor productexpirationdates and support recall processesin accordance withGovernmentprocedures.
- Implement proper stock rotation practices,
- Provide delivery support, including transporting supplies todesignatedlocations.
- Perform specialty cart checks and restocking asrequired.
- Deliver responsive and professional customer service to Government personnel and end users.
- Accurately document inventory transactions in systems such asVISTA/GIPand other Government-approved platforms (upon completion of required training and system access).
- Maintain clean, organized, and secure storage areas in compliance with safety and operational standards.
- Adhere to allOSHA,HAZMAT, and site-specific safety protocols.
Education and Experience
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply, warehouse, or inventory management.
- Proficiencyand fluency in the English language (written and verbal).
- Proficiencywith inventory management systems/software and workflows.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to follow detailed instructions andcomply withGovernment procedures and PWS requirements.
Preferred
- Experience supporting Federal orhealthcare logistics environments.
- Familiarity with Government inventory systems such as VISTA/GIP.
- Experience with barcode scanning technology and automated inventory systems.
Physical Requirements
- Ability tolift upto 50 lbs.
- Ability to push up to 100 lbs. using carts or similar conveyance.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods.
- Ability tooperatematerial handling equipment, as applicable.
Compliance Requirements
- Mustcomply withall safety and HAZMAT handling requirements.
- Must be able to obtain andmaintainrequired Governmentsystemaccess and training.
- Ability to pass background checks and meet contract-specific requirements, as applicable.
Part-time Hours:
7am - 11am M-F
Salary:
$39.73 perhour
