U.S. Department of Defense at Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC), Department of Business Operations, Resource Management Division, is recruiting a Supply Technician (MVO).

This Direct Hire Solicitation role requires transporting parts, serving as the front desk representative for customer assistance, and maintaining records for non-expendable items. The position may involve travel and non-standard shifts to support mission operations.

Qualifications

• Requires suitability or fitness determination and background investigation.
• Immunizations/vaccinations required unless exempted by physician.
• May require uncommon tours of duty hours including on-call, fixed/rotating shifts, evenings, weekends or holidays.
• May involve travel to various locations using POV, commercial transport, or military assets.
• Pre-employment physical required annually and thereafter.

About the Position: The Supply Technician (MVO) position is located at the Womack Army Medical Center (WAMC), Department of Business Operations, Resource Management Division.

Duties

• Transport parts from the receiving area to the work area.
• Serve as the Front Desk representative performing Customer Assistance.
• Maintains document register and associated records on non-expendable items.
• Reviews proposed purchases to ensure they are in accordance with fiscal year plan.
• Purchases supplies, equipment, non-medical and medical items including regular, special and high value items
• Prepares work orders and follows up on repair status of medical equipment

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position is required to be screened for and obtain necessary immunizations/vaccinations (hepatitis, influenza, etc.), unless exempted by a licensed physician.
• This position is required to work uncommon tours of duty hours such as, on-call,. working either\fixed or rotating shifts, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays.
• This position is subject to TOY or business travel requirements to various locations. This may require travel via privately owned vehicles, commercial transport platforms, and/or military aircraft, ships, and vehicles.
• This position requires a pre-employment physical annually and thereafter.
• This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
