Job summary

Womack Army Medical Center is seeking a Supply Technician within the Department of Logistics. The role involves clerical and technical duties to support receipt and dissemination of medical and non-medical supplies and services.

This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. The incumbent will maintain visibility on transaction history, review formats, and utilize automated systems for reports, memorandums, and data entry.

Qualifications

• Background investigation may be required.
• Pre-employment physical examination and annual health fitness as applicable.
• Influenza vaccination is required unless exempted for medical/religious reasons.
• Pre-employment drug screening and random testing may occur.
• Weather Essential designation requires reporting during inclement weather.
• Mission Essential designation requires reporting during severe weather or emergencies.
• One year trial/probationary period may be required.

About the Position:

This position is located withinWomack Army Medical Center, Department of Logistics. Incumbent will serve as a Supply Technician and perform clerical and technical duties in support of the receipt and dissemination of medical and non-medical supplies and services.

Duties

• Maintain visibility on customer's transaction history to communicate with the customer of all due in materials.
• Review computer formats to ensure that automated transactions have been processed.
• Utilize automated software to perform a variety of administrative duties such as creating reports, drafting memorandums, and/or sending/receiving electronic correspondence.
• Utilize automated medical logistics systems and maintenance systems to enter and retrieve data.
• Coordinates with warehouse personnel to setup and provides assistance in the inventory process.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires incumbent to obtain and maintain a favorable result from a National Agency Background Check.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• This position has mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirements and is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations unless otherwise exempted for medical or religious reasons (documentation of exemption must be provided upon hire).
• This position is subject to a pre-employment drug screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.
• This position has been designated Weather Essential. In the event of inclement weather conditions, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
• This position has been designated Mission Essential. In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations, the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
• One year trial/probationary period may be required.
