Responsibilities

• Provides expertise and supervises the LMADIS Materials Management team.
• Provides material purchase status reports to management.
• Works with Purchasing to execute common buys and builds long term agreements with key suppliers.
• Identifies and qualifies new suppliers with Manufacturing, Engineering, QA, and Purchasing.
• Collaborates with managers to determine material needs.
• Furnishes complete BOMs to Purchasing for RFQ and procurement requirements.
• Resolves program shortages by reviewing back-orders.
• Contacts vendors to ensure promised dates are kept.
• Receives and transports merchandise to the receiving area.
• Receives and documents merchandise for delivery or return.
• Maintains inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse.
• Notifies management of missing, lost, or damaged materials.
• Packages and labels merchandise safely and securely.
• Supervises material flow through computer input.
• Assists with training of newly employed workers.

SAIC is seeking a Supply Technician for our customer site in North Charleston, SC.

The Supply Technician:

• Provides expertise and the ability to supervise the LMADIS Materials Management team
• Provides material purchase status reports to management
• Work with Purchasing Team to execute common buys across programs and Build long term agreements with key suppliers
• Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality Assurance, and Purchasing to identify and qualify new suppliers
• Collaborates with other managers to determine material needs
• Working with all Program Managers, Engineers, and Program Logisticians to furnish complete Build of Materials (BOMs) to Purchasing for RFQ and procurement requirements
• Resolve program shortages by reviewing and analyzing all back-orders
• Periodic calls to vendors to insure promised dates are kept
• Collecting merchandise from the Shipping and receiving section and safely transporting materials to the receiving area
• Receiving and documenting merchandise for delivery or return
• Keeping an inventory of all merchandise entering or exiting the warehouse
• Identifying any missing, lost or damaged materials and immediately notify the Management
• Ensuring that all the merchandise is safely and securely packed and labeled
• Supervise all material through computer input
• Assisting with training of newly employed workers

Target salary range: $40,001 - $80,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
