Job summary

The U.S. Department of Defense in Richmond, VA seeks a professional to perform causative research to resolve inventory discrepancies and to process Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDRs) through research and resolution. You will update Shelf-Life data, COSIS on stock, analyze trends, support specialists with automated systems, and, when required, operate material handling equipment.

This role requires U.S. citizenship, a favorable suitability determination, and the ability to obtain and maintain

Qualifications

  • Must be a US citizen.
  • Pre-Employment Physical required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain licenses/certifications.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license and MHE license.

Responsibilities

  • Performs causative research to resolve critical inventory discrepancies.
  • Performs extensive research on inventory discrepancies and imbalances identified through warehouse denials, customer complaints/inquiries, physical inventory counts, location surveys, special inspections, etc.
  • Determines the causes of discrepancies and makes or coordinates appropriate adjustments to correct inventory records and documents.
  • Processes Supply Discrepancy Reports (SDRs), through research and resolution.
  • Performs Shelf-Life updates and Care of Supplies in Storage (COSIS) on stock as required.
  • Participates in evaluating and analyzing trends for inventory discrepancies.
  • Assists specialists in the analysis of automated systems and the implementation of new applications.
  • May operate material handling equipment (MHE) such as forklifts and stock selectors to move material.
