Job summary

Trinity Health in Pontiac, MI is seeking a part-time Linen and Supply Associate to support daily stocking, restocking linens, and basic supply ordering under supervision.

The role involves delivering department orders, maintaining storeroom cleanliness, and assisting with special requests for supplies and patient equipment. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 6 months of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• 6 months of experience in any one or combination of the following: supply chain-related distribution, warehousing, shipping, receiving, logistics, material handling, linen, inventory control, or other comparable service line required.
• Hospital/health care experience in distribution or warehousing preferred.
• Valid Driver's License preferred.
• Proficient in written and verbal English language.
• Basic knowledge of medical supplies & equipment terminology required.

Shift:

Description: Under supervision, responsible for basic supply ordering and replenishment, restocking of clean and removal of soiled linen. Respond appropriately and timely to department special requests for supplies, linen and Supply Chain managed patient equipment (i.e., infusion pumps, syringe pumps, etc.). Deliver and distribute department special orders. Maintain order and cleanliness of storeroom and linen room.

Education: High school graduate or GED equivalent

Experience: 6 months of experience in any one or combination of the following: supply chain-related distribution, warehousing, shipping, receiving, logistics, material handling, linen, inventory control, or other comparable service line required.

Hospital/health care experience in distribution or warehousing preferred.

License/Certification: Valid Driver's License preferred.

Skill: Proficient in written and verbal English language. Requires the knowledge and use of arithmetic including fractions and decimals.

Skill: Self-motivated to organize & prioritize own work to insure daily workload is completed; ability to react and perform under stress and emergency situations; and ability to exercise some judgment in work environment.

Ability to use proper body mechanics in order to lift 50 lbs. and push, pull, or otherwise move in a controlled manner linen carts up to 500 lbs. utilizing appropriate personal protective equipment, up to 90% of work time.

Functional computer knowledge with basic level of keyboarding skills.

Basic knowledge of medical supplies & equipment terminology required

Working Conditions

• Bending, stooping, squatting, pushing/pulling heavy and awkward weights.
• Exposure to dust, linen fibers, and normal warehousing conditions.
