This position is located in Facilities Management and Resources, Richland County.
Are you the One? We are looking for a Supply Specialist III who, under the direct supervision within Facilities Management and Resources, provides support to the Department's offices locally and statewide.
- Responsible for reviewing and responding to Labor Service Manager requests. Responsible for reviewing agency move spreadsheets and providing solutions to move requests. Redirect customers as needed.
- Responsible for providing light or heavy manual labor as required for relocating Department office furniture items locally and around the state. Perform installation of furniture items to include but not limited to hanging wall items, installing desk accessories, and installing building items which has Department responsibility.
- Maintains an inventory of Department office surplus furniture items.
- Performs related duties as assigned or required by supervisor.

A high school diploma and work experience directly related to the area of employment.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver's license.
- Occasional overnight travel.
- Overtime and/or weekend work may be required.
- Sitting or standing for long periods of time.
- Lifting requirements: 75 lbs.
- Must travel occasionally to statewide South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (the Department) locations to pick up state property.
- Knowledge of supply practices and procedures.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices and procedures.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to accurately maintain supply or inventory control records.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Working knowledge of the practices and procedures of receiving, checking, storing, and delivering materials/supplies.
- Ability to drive a large, standard transmission truck.
- Must be attentive to details.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, interns, and co-workers.
