Supply Planning Manager Position Summary

The Supply Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining supply plans that support the company's Integrated Business Planning (IBP/SIOP) process across a 100% outsourced contract manufacturing network. This role translates demand forecasts into capacity-constrained supply plans, performs rough-cut capacity planning, identifies supply risks and opportunities, and supports executive decision-making through scenario analysis and supply planning insights. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in supply planning within a contract manufacturing environment, strong analytical capabilities, advanced Excel skills, and deep SAP expertise. Experience in Medical Device or other highly regulated industries is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Supply Planning & Capacity Management
  • Develop and maintain rolling supply plans that support the monthly IBP/SIOP process and planning horizon.
  • Translate demand forecasts into feasible, capacity-constrained supply plans across a network of contract manufacturing partners.
  • Lead rough-cut capacity planning (RCCP) activities to evaluate manufacturing capabilities and identify constraints, risks, and opportunities.
  • Evaluate inventory, capacity, and service tradeoffs to support business objectives and customer requirements.
  • Monitor supply-demand imbalances and develop recommendations to address potential shortfalls or excess capacity.
  • Support annual operating plans, budget cycles, and long-range planning activities.
Scenario Planning & Business Insights
  • Perform scenario modeling and what-if analyses to support strategic business decisions, product launches, demand fluctuations, and supply disruptions.
  • Identify emerging supply risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure continuity of supply.
  • Develop insights and recommendations related to inventory, capacity, service levels, and supply chain resilience.
  • Prepare materials and analyses for Supply Review and Executive IBP/SIOP meetings.
Planning Systems & Analytics
  • Utilize SAP planning tools to develop supply plans, analyze requirements, and maintain planning data.
  • Create and maintain advanced Excel-based planning models, reports, dashboards, and analytical tools.
  • Ensure planning assumptions, master data, and reporting structures remain accurate and aligned with business requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to planning processes, data quality, and reporting capabilities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Demand Planning & Commercial Teams
  • Partner with Demand Planning to understand forecast assumptions, demand changes, product launches, and business priorities.
  • Evaluate the supply and capacity implications of demand changes and provide recommendations to support consensus planning.
  • Support alignment between customer demand expectations and supply capabilities.
Contract Manufacturing Partners & Operations
  • Collaborate with contract manufacturers to understand production capacity, lead times, operational constraints, and long-term capability plans.
  • Facilitate discussions regarding capacity availability, inventory strategies, and supply risk mitigation.
  • Ensure supply plans are aligned with manufacturing capabilities across the external network.
Procurement & Supplier Management
  • Partner with Procurement to evaluate supplier constraints, material availability, and sourcing risks that may impact supply plans.
  • Incorporate material availability assumptions into supply planning and capacity assessments.
  • Support supplier and contract manufacturer performance reviews through planning insights and analytics.
Finance
  • Collaborate with Finance to align supply plans with financial objectives, inventory targets, and annual operating plans.
  • Provide supply planning assumptions and scenario analyses to support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning.
  • Assess the financial implications of inventory, capacity, and supply chain decisions.
Quality & Regulatory Affairs
  • Partner with Quality and Regulatory teams to ensure supply plans reflect product lifecycle requirements, validation activities, regulatory changes, and compliance considerations.
  • Support planning decisions within FDA, ISO 13485, GMP, or other highly regulated environments.
Executive Leadership
  • Present supply plans, capacity assessments, key risks, and scenario analyses during Supply Review and Executive IBP/SIOP meetings.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations that support informed decision-making regarding service, inventory, capacity, and financial performance.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in Supply Planning, Capacity Planning, Network Planning, or Integrated Business Planning.
  • Experience supporting a 100% contract manufacturing business model.
  • Demonstrated expertise in rough-cut capacity planning (RCCP) and translating demand forecasts into executable supply plans.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of SAP experience, including supply planning, MRP, inventory management, and planning analytics.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including: Complex formulas and data modeling, Pivot Tables, Power Query, Scenario and sensitivity analysis, Dashboard and reporting development
  • Experience supporting monthly SIOP, IBP, or Sales & Operations Planning processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences, Consumer Healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of FDA, ISO 13485, GMP, or similar regulatory requirements.
  • Experience with SAP ECC or equivalent advanced planning systems.
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM, CSCP, or related supply chain certification.
  • Experience with Power BI, or other business intelligence and visualization tools.

Salary Range: $102,000- 128,000.00 Annually
