The Fountain Group is seeking a Supply Planner to support our client’s operations from a remote position with responsibility for Fresno, CA. The role focuses on supply planning activities, ensuring material availability, and coordinating demand and supply with global and local teams, while aligning with production requirements.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain and 2+ years in supply planning, with familiarity in ASCP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or related field.
• 2+ years of Supply Planning / Supply Chain Planning experience.
• Experience with Oracle Value Chain Applications (ASCP) preferred.
• APICS CPIM certification a plus.
• Industry experience in telecom, aerospace/defense, or similar manufacturing preferred.
• US Citizenship required due to government security requirements.

Responsibilities

• Release Planned Orders (PLO) for external suppliers.
• Release Internal Requisitions (IR) / Internal Sales Orders (ISO).
• Support and monitor Internal Requisitions with local Planner.
• Manage exception messages in the planning system weekly.
• Conduct weekly evaluation of Demand Planning values and adjustments.
• Evaluate Inventory Planning values quarterly and adjust as needed.
• Provide weekly reporting in Global Supply Demand Alignment Meeting.
• Manage excess material in alignment with Inventory Team.
• Communicate daily shortages and expedite with global buyers.
• Lead expedite activities for shortages to meet production plan.
• Authorize expedited freight as needed to cover shortages.
• Provide daily supply coordination with Production Manager and team.
• Align demand and supply with Global Assurance and Global Category Management.
• Present weekly material demand and shortages to Factory Scheduling.

Remote position supporting Fresno, CA - must be able to support Pacific time zone business hours

Pay: $30/hour W2 only

Duration: 6-12 months with continued extensions and potential conversion based on client need and performance.

Position Summary

The Supply Planner is responsible for supporting supply planning activities, managing material availability, coordinating supply and demand alignment, and ensuring timely communication across global and local teams. This role supports production requirements through planning execution, shortage management, inventory evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Release Planned Orders (PLO) for all external suppliers in the supply planning system.
• Release Internal Requisitions (IR) / Internal Sales Orders (ISO) in the supply planning system.
• Support and monitor the release of Internal Requisitions with the respective local Supply Planner.
• Manage exception messages in the supply planning system on a weekly basis (alignment of NBD).
• Conduct weekly evaluation of Demand Planning values, including recommended adjustments.
• Conduct quarterly evaluation of Inventory Planning values (Safety Stock, Segmentation), including recommended adjustments.
• Provide weekly reporting in the Global Supply Demand Alignment Meeting (Oversupply Reporting).
• Responsible for excess material in alignment with the Inventory Team.
• Perform daily shortage communication and expedite activities with global buyers and the Purchasing Team.
• Lead expedite activities for shortages from partner suppliers to meet the production plan.
• Authorize expedited freight as needed to cover shortages.
• Provide daily supply communication and coordination with the Production Manager and team.
• Align demand and supply activities with Global Assurance and Global Category Management.
• Present weekly material demand, shortages, and status updates to Factory Scheduling and Management during the local Weekly Information Meeting (owner: Delivery Manager and SC Operations Lead).
• Communicate material status changes to all relevant parties.
• Serve as backup partner for the Regional Supply Planner and support global cross-functional team activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or other applicable field of study is required.
• 2 or more years of Supply Planning / Supply Chain Planning experience is required
• Oracle Value Chain Applications (ASCP) experience is strongly preferred.
• APICS Certified (CPIM) certification is a plus.
• Industry experience - telecommunications, aerospace/defense, or similar manufacturing is preferred.
• Due to government security requirements, US Citizenship is necessary to obtain proper clearance approvals.
