Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. (BWXT) is hiring a Supply Management Intern to support procurement activities at on-site locations in Barberton or Euclid, Ohio.

The role focuses on resolving issues, maintaining POs, and producing analytical reports using SAP and internal systems. You will learn procurement policies, map processes, and monitor timeliness, cost, and quality while interacting with internal and external resources.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program.
• Major in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Logistics, Math/Statistics, or Information Systems.
• Ability to integrate business acumen with technical skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Must be a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Interact daily with internal/external resources to resolve procurement issues and ensure plant needs are met.
• Manage documents in support of Procurement activities.
• Lead projects to improve procurement processes.
• Follow-up on outstanding purchase orders and perform PO maintenance.
• Collect, organize, interpret and publish reports using SAP and other systems.
• Learn procurement policies and assist mapping current business processes.
• Track metrics and communicate performance to management.
