Job summary

Mercy is seeking an Advanced Supply Chain Technician to optimize supply chain software systems, manage PAR inventories, and ensure supplies and linens are stocked across multiple locations. The role includes mentoring new coworkers and coordinating communication between supply chain and clinical leaders.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma, completion of Mercy Preceptor Course within 6 months, and relevant healthcare or large-scale supply chain experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Mercy Preceptor Course to be completed within 6 months.
  • Experience in healthcare supply chain or large-scale supply chain is preferred (2 years).
  • Preferred CMPR/CPIM/CSCP certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Fill, order, stock, distribute, and receive supplies and linen.
  • Assist in PAR inventory management across multiple locations.
  • Mentor and train new coworkers as needed.
  • Serve as a liaison between supply chain and clinical leaders.

Education

CMRP/CPIM/CSCP certifications (preferred)

This position also ensure appropriate supplies/Linens are stocked, delivered, and inventory is adequately stocked in multiple locations. Advanced Technicians will also assist with mentoring and training new coworkers, and at times serve as a liaison in communication between supply chain and clinical leaders.

Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of Mercy Preceptor Course within 6 months.
  • Licensure:
  • Experience: Mastered Supply Chain Technician Competencies and fully functional in Supply Chain Technician role, or 2 years direct healthcare supply chain or 2 years large-scale supply chain experience.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Experience: Prefer 12 months in Mercy Supply Chain Technician role.
  • Certification/Registration: Preferred Certified Materials and Resource Professional (CMRP), Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM), or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP)
