Singer Group in Carson, CA is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to manage material planning, supplier coordination, and inventory to ensure smooth production flow. The role focuses on mitigating risks to supply and aligning with cross-functional teams to meet production demands.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in planning roles, proficient MRP skills, and an Associate degree, with Bachelor’s preferred for growth potential. This is an onsite, Monday–Friday role with standard daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Associate degree is required.
• 2+ years in Material Planner/Production Planner/Buyer/Program Manager/Operations Lead or equivalent.
• Proven ability to manage demand and supply planning within MRP.
• Proficient in MRP systems.
• Bachelor’s degree is a bonus.
• Prior experience in a rapid growth environment is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the tactical point of contact to support local plant Supply Chain needs and procurements.
• Analyze material requirements and inventory to optimize planning.
• Ensure on-time delivery of purchased material at planned costs.
• Issue POs to qualified suppliers at correct pricing and MOQs per contracts.
• Maintain supplier contact, schedule pickups, process RMAs, and ensure supplier readiness.
• Provide bills of materials to suppliers for non-turnkey orders.
• Lead weekly/bi-weekly open order reviews with suppliers.
• Build cross-functional teams and drive continuous improvement toward cost/quality/delivery goals.
• Communicate critical supply issues to the team.

• Ensure fulfillment of production parts, while eliminating risks to part availability and production impacts
• Assure the smooth and cost-efficient material flow to support our operations in a manner that demonstrates, “Everything is Important”
• Coordinate closely with Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Logistics to ensure we have the correct supply to manufacture the right quantity and configurations of products to satisfy customer demand and clearly communicate potential risks and mitigation strategies to various senior leaders and stakeholders
• In this role you will be the Supply Chain point of contact for the Production team and own the delivery of your commodities from purchase order initiation to stock
• You will also be responsible for monitoring and managing inventories and forecasting sales and production levels for materials that are needed, including the tracking of inventory delivery performance and response time and other logistics projects
• Identify part supply constraints that may impact production schedule and create mitigation plans with commodity management/procurement/supply chain continuity teams
• Execute risk management analysis, taking into consideration past performance data, demand vs. supply, and lead time stack-ups from piece part to integration
• Work in a cross-functional team environment as a strong team player and demonstrate ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide goals

What You’ll Do:

• Serve as the tactical point of contact to support local plant Supply Chain needs, supporting efficient and effective execution of product planning and procurement
• Analyze and confirm material requirements and inventory on hand or in transit to optimize overall supply chain planning
• Ensure on-time delivery of purchased material, at (or below) planned costs
• Ensure Purchase Orders are issued/provided to qualified suppliers at correct pricing and MOQs per procurement’s strategic sourcing direction and commercial contracts
• Day-to-day supplier contact, conducting follow up, scheduling material pick up and drop off, processing RMAs, and ensuring supplier is set up for success
• Provide bills of materials and other information to suppliers to ensure proper execution of non-turnkey purchase orders
• Hold weekly and/or bi-weekly open order review meetings with assigned suppliers to ensure alignment on expected purchase order due dates
• Build cross-functional teams and champions continuous improvement initiatives to meet or exceed cost, quality, and delivery goals
• Proactively provide status and update the team on critical supply issues

Who We’re Looking For:

• Associate degree
• Two (2) plus years of related experience as Material Planner, Production Planner, Buyer, Program Manager, Operations Lead, or equivalent
• Proven ability to manage demand planning and supply planning withinMRP
• Proficient in MRP systems
• Bonus points for a Bachelor's degree
• Bonus points for prior experience in a rapid growth environment

Location & Schedule:

This is an onsite position in Carson, CA. This is a salaried role, with a general schedule of Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM.
