Job summary

Jobtailor in Mountain View, CA seeks a procurement lead to own the end-to-end purchase-to-pay process. You will issue POs, track logistics, and align with sourcing, engineers, suppliers, and finance to meet program schedules and budgets.

You will generate reports, manage complex supply chain data with AI tools, and ensure audit-ready documentation. This role requires 5+ years in procurement, strong communication, and compliance with U.S. export controls. Office presence 3 days/wk.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in procurement, logistics, or material management.
• Experience in hardware, electronics, or semiconductors is a plus.
• Hands-on experience issuing POs, managing supplier logistics, and driving invoices to payment.
• End-to-end purchase-to-pay cycle experience.
• Proficiency with procurement, purchasing, and spend-management platforms.
• Ability to manage complex supply chain data and reports with AI tools.
• Excellent communication with suppliers, engineers, finance partners, and executives.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving startup with shifting priorities.
• Must work from the Mountain View, CA office three days a week, Tuesday through Thursday.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be able to perform job functions in compliance with U.S. export control laws without obtaining a license.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end purchase-to-pay process using procurement tools.

• Track logistics, including reverse logistics.
• Engage sourcing, engineers, suppliers, and finance partners to align stakeholders and document requirements and updates.
• Obtain approval for purchase orders.
• Generate and maintain periodic reports.
• Provide accurate supply chain data to leadership for strategic decision-making, supplier performance, and customer commitments.
• Document changes.
• Identify and escalation supply chain risks to enable timely mitigation and prevent delays to critical build schedules.
• Coordinate with Business Development, Finance, and Sourcing to align procurement with program schedules and budgets.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation in spend-management platforms.
• Help define scalable procurement processes and policies as MatX grows from prototype builds to volume.
