Job summary

Johnson Controls invites motivated students for a twelve-week Summer Internship in Plant Operations. The role exposes interns to Lean manufacturing initiatives, production support, and KPI monitoring across multiple manufacturing locations, including Marinette, WI.

You will gain hands-on experience in production supervision, materials planning, procurement, logistics, quality, and Lean/CI improvements while developing business acumen through JCI’s learning model.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or similar.
• Currently enrolled as a full-time student with a graduation date between December 2027 and June 2030.
• Must have access to personal transportation.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives and projects.
• Learn the JCI Business System and support plants to meet and exceed KPIs.
• Oversee daily production support, including capacity management, scheduling analysis, and cycle-time optimization.
• Monitor and report on KPIs to drive manufacturing efficiency.
• Maintain and improve reports enabling operational efficiency on the shop floor.
