Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. invites driven students to join a 12-week Supply Chain & Operations Internship across manufacturing plants in the U.S. You will gain hands-on experience in production supervision, materials planning, procurement, logistics, quality, and Lean/Continuous Improvement.

Participants will experience Lean initiatives, learn the JCI Business System, and interact with senior leaders. Office software skills and willingness to relocate to a plant location are essential.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or similar.
• Must have access to personal transportation.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident; visa sponsorship not available.
• Comfortable relocating to one of our manufacturing plant locations.
• Currently enrolled as a full-time student with graduation between Dec 2027 and Jun 2030.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Lean manufacturing initiatives and projects.
• Learn the JCI Business System and support plants to meet KPIs.
• Oversee daily production support, capacity management, scheduling analysis, and cycle-time optimization.
• Monitor and report on KPIs; maintain and improve production reports.
