Job summary

Andersen Corporation’s Storm Door team seeks a Supply Chain Process Designer I to design and implement end-to-end material and information flow for projects in Des Moines, IA. Travel up to 5% and no relocation sponsor.

This role collaborates across functions to improve processes, with a strong emphasis on ERP/MES and lean methods. Candidate will work locally with no relocation assistance, and will contribute to enterprise-wide initiatives while maintaining partner relationships and ensuring

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, or related field
• 3-5+ years of experience in project leadership, supply chain, IT, operations or manufacturing/industrial engineering
• Ability to apply knowledge to a variety of assignments within a moderate range of technical difficulty
• Working knowledge of ERP, MES, and lean methodology
• Lean manufacturing knowledge: pull, kanban, PDCA, value stream mapping
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills
• Willingness to travel up to 5%

Responsibilities

• Understand customer needs and satisfy them using process improvement and problem solving
• Implement material, inventory, and information flow processes for plan, make, source, and deliver strategies
• Facilitate cross-functional team meetings, kaizen events, and value stream mapping sessions
• Design and procure material storage systems and handling equipment for small/medium projects
• Create information flow systems meeting project objectives with supply chain and IT deliverables
• Maintain relationships with internal and external partners including engineers, IT, suppliers, supervisors, leads
• Communicate task status via status reports, meeting minutes, and updates
• Introduce new perspectives to improve material and information flow
• Act as in-charge lead for supply chain tasks guiding IT, scheduling, procurement, sourcing, vendors
