Northrop Grumman is seeking a Supply Chain Planning Specialist Level 3 in Boulder, CO, or Huntsville, AL. You will source and manage suppliers, negotiate terms, and drive cost efficiencies while coordinating with contracts, engineering, quality, and program teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of professional experience or an advanced degree with fewer years, and the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.

  • Experience with subcontracting and procurement processes preferred.
  • Knowledge of FAR/DoD procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Source and procure specialized goods and services for programs.
  • Own contractual management of suppliers from proposal to award.
  • Collaborate with contracts, engineering, quality, and planning teams.
  • Develop subcontract specs and terms for procurement of materials and services.
  • Prepare and evaluate RFP packages, negotiate terms, and issue subcontracts.
  • Monitor supplier quality, delivery schedules, and risk mitigation.

As a Supply Chain Planning Specialist – Level 3 located in Boulder, CO, or Huntsville, AL you'll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one.

Responsibilities
  • Source and procures specialized goods and services
  • Own contractual management of the supplier
  • Responsible for source selection from contract proposal to execution phases
  • Coordinate and collaborate with key stakeholders such as contracts, engineering, quality, supplier development, planning, operations, program, and end-users
  • Develop subcontract specifications, work statements, and terms and conditions for the procurement of specialized materials, equipment, and/or services
  • Prepare Request for Proposal package, analyzes and evaluates proposals, negotiates subcontract provisions, selects or recommends subcontractors, writes awards, and administers resulting subcontracts
  • In conjunction with quality organization, evaluates and monitors supplier quality and reliability, as well as supplier ability to support required delivery schedules
  • Identify strategies and opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through strategic and targeted negotiations
  • Manage and leads supplier financial forecasting accuracy
  • Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of professional experience -- OR -- Master's degree with 3 years of professional experience -- OR -- PhD with 1 year of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of degree. Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiar with FAR provisions and GSC policies and procedures
  • Experience preparing subcontractor Request for Proposal (RFP) packages and supporting the NGC acquisition process
  • Experience preparing and presenting briefings to leadership (internal/external)
  • Ability to provide accurate supplier invoice and accrual forecasting
  • Current & active DoD security clearance
Salary and Benefits

Primary Level Salary Range: $89,900.00 - $141,200.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
