Must reside or be willing to relocate to Cincinnati, OH

Provide executive leadership with total management responsibility for developing and leading a centralized material planning organization for Kroger manufacturing sites. Accountable for centralized material planning of perishable and non-perishable items with strong performance as measured by key benchmarks. Coordinate and collaborate with all related lines of business and continuously improve material planning processes by integrating new methodologies/technologies and adopting industry best practices. Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a business field or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in project management.
  • 5+ years of proven leadership experience managing a team.
  • 10+ years managerial experience in material planning, manufacturing, replenishment, supply chain, or plant/DC operations.
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask while ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proven track record in change management.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Knowledge of procurement systems.
Desired qualifications:
  • Experience in manufacturing.
  • Experience with Kroger procurement.
  • Experience in produce or meat industry.
Key responsibilities:
  • Develop vision and implementation strategy for the Centralized Material Planning department across all Kroger manufacturing facilities.
  • Lead change management efforts, including communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Ensure timely and accurate inbound material and ingredient planning.
  • Align operations with production plans and KPIs, optimize inventory, and pursue continuous improvement.
  • Develop strategies for supplier accountability and performance management in collaboration with Sourcing.
  • Provide accurate forecasts to suppliers and communicate material constraints effectively.
  • Foster collaboration with Kroger Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Planning leaders.
  • Lead the adoption of industry best practices, including performance measurement, technology, communication, and process improvements.
  • Manage departmental budgets and strategic projects.
  • Travel across the U.S. to relevant Kroger locations.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports, conduct performance reviews, and provide feedback.
  • Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
