Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to support inventory optimization and data analysis in a dynamic environment. The role focuses on improving supply chain performance, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to lean initiatives across facilities.

As an entry-level development path, the position builds foundational skills in inventory management, planning and cost analysis while preparing for progression to higher roles within 1–3 years. Onsite work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree related to Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or related field with May 2027 graduation or within last two years.
• Experience in supply chain, manufacturing/operations, inventory management or logistics is highly desired.
• Relocation benefits are available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align supply chain activities with business objectives and customer requirements.
• Support development and execution of supply chain strategies to improve performance and service levels.
• Lead inventory and warehouse optimization initiatives to improve capacity and inventory health.
• Identify and recommend improvements for the supply-chain process.
• Support lead time rationalization aligning system parameters with supplier lead times.
• Lead pull replenishment projects in Lean initiatives.
• Analyze inventory trends with LPAs and suppliers to reduce excess material and optimize space.
• Assist inventory optimization through disposition of excess and obsolete material with stakeholders.
