Job summary

Staff Perm is seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Planner to coordinate vendor relationships and manage inventory planning to ensure smooth supply chain operations.

This contract role in Richardson, TX requires working with external vendors to plan inventory and purchase orders, resolve warehouse discrepancies, and keep shipments on schedule.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience.
• 1-3 years in supply chain management with procurement or supplier management.
• 1+ years experience working with vendors.
• 1+ years supporting inventory planning and purchase orders.
• Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP system.
• MS Excel skills

Responsibilities

• Provide overall functional support to the Supply Planning team.
• Manage PO creation from supplier order confirmation to invoice reconciliation.
• Ensure timely order confirmation and SAP updates.
• Coordinate with suppliers, warehouses and A/P for on-time shipments and discrepancy resolution.
• Negotiate delivery expedites and recovery plans with critical suppliers.
• Identify supply risks and propose alternate sourcing or logistics solutions.
• Review inventory rebalancing opportunities to maximize working capital.

Job description

Staff Perm is seeking a detail-oriented Supply Chain Planner to coordinate vendor relationships and manage inventory planning to ensure smooth supply chain operations.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the supply chain by working directly with external vendors to plan inventory and purchase orders, resolving warehouse discrepancies, and managing past due purchase orders. Your coordination skills will be essential to maintaining timely shipments and accurate supply chain processes.

• EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Contract
• PAY RATE: $25.00 hour
• LOCATION: Richardson, TX 75080
• SCHEDULE: 8:00am to 5:00pm M-F

Responsibilities

• Provide overall functional support to the Supply Planning team.
• Manage post creation PO process from supplier order confirmation to complete invoice reconciliation.
• Ensure timely order confirmation compliance and accurate updates in SAP.
• Coordinate with suppliers, warehouses and A/P to ensure on time shipments as well as timely resolution of warehouse receiving discrepancies and invoice discrepancies.
• Negotiate delivery expedites and recovery plans with critical suppliers.
• Proactively identify supply risks and propose alternate sourcing, substitution, or logistics solutions to avoid service disruptions.
• Proactive review of inventory rebalancing opportunities to maximize working capital efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• Associates degree or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years in supply chain management with direct experience in direct procurement, supply planning or supplier management.
• 1+ years experience working with vendors
• 1+ years experience supporting planning inventory and/or PO Purchase Orders
• Hands-on experience with SAP or similar ERP system
• MS Excel skills
