Job summary

Varda is hiring a Supply Chain Planner to work with supply chain, manufacturing, production, and engineering to ensure on‑time supply for spacecraft builds. This full‑time role is based at our El Segundo, CA headquarters, with opportunities to influence Varda's supply chain and production systems.

Responsibilities include owning demand, maintaining inventory, and aligning lead times with ongoing engineering changes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus 1+ years in engineering, purchasing, material or production planning, or operations.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Epicor) highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Own demand and fulfilment planning for Varda capsule.
• Ensure accurate lead times and inventory for production.
• Maintain configuration of assemblies through NPI changes.
• Monitor inventory and open orders health, address delays.
• Establish and monitor metrics to track supply chain performance.
• Conduct clear-to-build meetings with production and engineering.
• Keep demand up to date with latest engineering and lead times.
• Define and improve workflows within the ERP system.
• Occasionally assist with PO placement and inventory movement.

About this Role

As a Supply Chain Planner, you will work closely with supply chain, manufacturing, production, and engineering to ensure on-time supply for spacecraft builds. Responsibilities include executing supply chain strategies to ensure production goals to the manifest are achieved. This is a highly visible, cross-functional role with the opportunity to influence Varda's supply chain and production systems.

This full-time role is located in our El Segundo headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Own demand and fulfilment planning for Varda capsule
• Ensure accurate lead times and inventory levels to enable production
• Maintain accurate configuration of assemblies through NPI changes
• Monitor inventory levels and the health of open orders, proactively addressing any issues or delays.
• Establish and monitor key metrics to track supply chain performance
• Conduct clear-to-build meetings with production and engineering teams
• Ensure demand is up to date with the latest engineering and lead times changes
• Define, manage, and continuously improve workflows within the ERP system
• Occasionally support placing purchase orders, fulfilling kits, and moving inventory as needed

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 1+ years of experience working in one or more of the following; or 4+ years of experience working in one or more of the following:
• Engineering
• Purchasing
• Material or production planning
• Operations or supply chain management
• Master production scheduling
• Some knowledge and understanding of ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems such as SAP, Oracle, Epicor etc

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Aerospace experience is helpful
• Technical knowledge and skills in coding and computer applications, (e.g. MS Office Suite, VBA, Smartsheet, SQL, Confluence, JIRA, Power BI, ION etc.)
• Self-motivated, quick learner, and ability to prioritize efforts to meet customer and company goals
• Ability to develop and maintain strong internal and external supplier relationships in a fast-moving and ever-changing environment
• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills
• Excellent customer service skills, highly self-motivated
• Effective written, verbal and presentation communication skills
• Detail-oriented, and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment

Pay Range

• This Position may be hired at an exempt or non-exempt level depending on candidate experience:
• Supply Chain Planner: 0-2 years of experience is a non-exempt hourly role. ($35.70-$48.30 per hour)
• Senior Supply Chain Planner: 2-4 years of experience is an exempt role ($92,820-$125,580 base salary).

This role is on-site in El Segundo, CA

Leveling and base or hourly salary are determined by job-related skills, education level, experience level, and job performance
