TCL North America in Irvine, CA is seeking an Order Management Specialist to manage customer orders, coordinate with internal teams, and ensure timely, accurate processing.

The role requires strong Excel skills, data analysis, and excellent communication. You will support demand planning and sales with order tracking and reporting.

Job description

Position Summary:

The Order Management Specialist is responsible for managing customer orders, ensuring timely and accurate order processing, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to support customer satisfaction. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure internal order routing processes are operating efficiently and accurately.
• Process and review customer orders for completeness and accuracy.
• Request updated purchase orders (POs) and change orders when required.
• Support Demand Planning and Sales teams in achieving month-end goals.
• Work with retailers and utilize customer web portals to manage orders and shipments.
• Revise orders as needed due to delivery date changes, customer requirement changes, or inventory availability.
• Track customer orders, shipments, and inbound containers.
• Manage inventory for assigned accounts to support service and sales objectives.
• Determine and optimize shipping locations based on inventory availability and customer requirements.
• Follow up on orders and shipments, communicating updates to customers and internal teams in a timely manner.
• Prepare standard and ad hoc reports as required.
• Maintain accurate data entry and records within internal systems.
• Retrieve proofs of delivery (PODs) and investigate quantity discrepancies.
• Coordinate and process sample orders for marketing events, influencer programs, trade shows, and other promotional activities.
• Support continuous process improvement initiatives related to order management and customer service.
• Work overtime during month-end periods as business needs require.
• Foster positive and collaborative working relationships across departments to support business objectives.

Physical and Work Environment Requirements:

• This position is based onsite in Irvine, California. Regular in-person attendance is an essential function of the role.
• Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer workstation.
• Frequent use of keyboard and other standard office equipment.
• Ability to view computer screens for prolonged periods.

Qualifications:

Must Haves:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in a related field. Minimum 2 years of experience in order management, customer service, supply chain, logistics, inventory management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong computer skills: proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical skills: ability to manage and interpret large volumes of data.
• Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and the ability to communicate at all levels throughout the organization.
• Strong attention to detail and organization: ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Nice to Haves:

• Experience working with ERP systems and retailer/customer portals.

Compensation:

Annual salary ranges from $55,000 - $65,000.
