Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Flint, MI is hiring a Supply Chain Operations Specialist to manage specialized operational functions for assigned work groups within our SCS logistics operation.

This role requires training staff, leading process improvements, and coordinating with carriers or customers as needed. The position offers a $55,000 annual salary, weekly pay, and full benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, and PTO.

Qualifications

• H.S. diploma/GED.
• 1 year or more in logistics, warehouse or industry related field.
• 1 year or more Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• WMS intermediate preferred.
• Material Handling Equipment intermediate required.
• OSHA intermediate required.
• DOT and Hazmat intermediate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Communicate daily/shift goals of facility and work group(s).
• Assist with and train hourly, SNE or other specialists.
• Lead and initiate employees through in-depth training and continuous review of policies, procedures and processes.
• Decision making for location activities including demand planning and supplier calls.

We are immediately hiring a Supply Chain Operations Specialist in Flint, MI for our Supply Chain Solutions division.

• Pay Type: Salary paid weekly
• Annual Salary Pay: $55,000 per year based on experience
• Schedule: Monday-Saturday 1:30pm-10:00pm (2 sat on 1 off, with occasional Sunday)

The Supply Chain Ops Specialist is responsible for the specialized operational function(s) for assigned work group(s) in a SCS logistics operation. This role has a unique skillset to provide specialized/customized service for SCS customers and/or site location. Position responsibility may include advanced troubleshooting on systematic processes, resolution decision making to avoid logistical errors, specialized reporting or processes for MGT, etc. This position could provide direct supervision and will assist with new hire training, processes, routines, etc.

May interact with carriers and/or the customer based on the complexity and scope of the account.

All work is subject to review by location Ryder Corporate Process Owners such as Finance, Human Resources, Safety, Ops etc. Error could result in customer dissatisfaction, loss of inventory, loss of profit, safety or security incident.

Essential Functions

• Communicate daily/shift goals of facility and work group(s). Communicate and report plans to obtain operational goals.
• Assist with and train hourly, SNE or other specialists
• Lead and initiate employees through in-depth training and continuous review of employee understanding of policies, procedures and processes.
• Decision Making for location activities to include but not limited to demand planning, supplier calls, customer interactions, specialized process troubleshooting, etc.
• Support and aid in the development of system and process training for employees in the work group(s). Perform operational administrative functions to support location activities and / or customer
• Identify and/or solve operational issues with the account(s) by implementing continuous improvement and LEAN initiatives, to strengthen team unity, goals, productivity and results.

Additional Responsibilities

• Maybe used as a floater to complete all Supply Chain Ops Associate roles across multiple shifts
• Performs other duties as assigned.
