Job summary

Ryder in Arlington, TX is hiring a Supply Chain Operations Associate - Receiving to coordinate inbound processes and support GM LLP accounts. The role is salaried non-exempt with weekly pay and a 2:00pm-10:30pm weekday schedule, plus Saturday as needed.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED required or equivalent.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred.
• 1 year or more administrative experience preferred.
• 1 year or more relevant experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MGO (GM's MRP system) intermediate preferred.
• Knowledge of transportation management intermediate preferred.
• Knowledge of material flow as it relates to manufacturing processes intermediate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow-up all purchased parts to ensure shipment and on-time delivery to support production requirements.
• Serve as main point of contact for suppliers and coordinate ship schedules, containment plans when behind schedule, and expedited material as needed based on inventory coverage.
• Monitor parts and develop containment plans to ensure no interruptions to manufacturing lines.
• Coordinate alternative sources of material and spot buys if necessary.
• Monitor truck loads for material pickup to support schedule variations at lowest cost.
• Review buffers to ensure coverage for build requirements and manage code exceptions.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels in MGO and process inventory adjustments as needed.

We are immediately hiring a Supply Chain Operations Associate - Receiving, in Arlington, TX, for our Supply Chain Solutions division.

• Pay Type: Salaried Non-Exempt / Paid Weekly
• Base Salary: $50,000 - $51,000/year, plus eligible for overtime
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, and Saturdays as necessary to meet business needs
• Hours: Monday-Friday: 2:00pm - 10:30pm; Saturday: 3:00pm-12am
• This position will coordinate inbound processes
• Receiving experience is preferred
• Warehouse and/or Manufacturing experience is preferred
• Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is preferred

Summary

• Position does not manage WHSE or Driver team members
• General Motors LLP Accounts
• The Supply Chain Operations Associate will be responsible for operational functions, (General Motors LLP Account) independent decision making related to material availability and inventory control.

Essential Functions

• Follow-up all purchased parts to ensure shipment and on-time delivery performance to support production requirements
• Serve as main point of contact for all suppliers. Provide direction to suppliers regarding ship schedule requirements and containment plan when behind schedule. Includes decision making on timing for supplier ship schedules - allowing them to push material out, pull ahead and expedite material as needed based on inventory coverage at plant
• Track critical parts and develop/execute containment plan to ensure no interruptions or down time to manufacturing line, inclusive of decision making on mode and required delivery window to ensure continuity of production
• Coordinate and/or arrange for alternative sources of material, requests for spot buys, if necessary (SPO and other GM Plants)
• Independent monitoring, set-up, and cancellation of truck loads for material pick-up, as necessary to support schedule variations. Ensure proper material coverage at lowest possible cost for customer
• Review part buffers to determine that they cover build requirements. (Metal Centers and Powertrain). Document and manage S and AV code exceptions (Assembly Plants) including Alarm Interval maintenance. Determine root-cause and take appropriate action
• MGO Data Maintenance. Maintain accurate inventory levels in MGO, making appropriate adjustments where necessary. Make judgments on posting inventory adjustments based on investigation and analysis. Investigate and process any record adjustment requests from the previous shift
