Job summary

Duke Energy seeks a senior leader to own Supply Chain Operations across assigned areas, overseeing personnel, equipment, contracts, and safety to enable on-time construction and reliable outage support.

This role drives performance metrics, governance, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration with business partners and unions, while ensuring regulatory compliance and 24/7 readiness for emergencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree and five (5) years related work experience.
• OR High School Diploma/GED and nine (9) years related work experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage Supply Chain Operations personnel, contingent workforce, contracts, and 3rd party oversight in performance of daily activities, to meet Supply Chain goals and Business Unit objectives and expectations.
• Maintains a productive and motivated team with strong leadership and continuous improvement focus.
• Manages inventory, working stock, vendor-managed inventory, and integrated suppliers as part of ISP/VMI programs.
• Coordinates multi-level organization to implement recommendations and strategies for Supply Chain Operations in support of business partner needs.
• Develops staffing plans to support all work activities efficiently and economically, including peak and emergency needs.
• Ensures safe material management operations and compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Leads workforce training and adherence to processes across safety, HR, cybersecurity, and operations.
• Interacts with labor relations, HR, and unions to comply with contractual obligations.
• Interfaces with Business Units and Supply Chain management to promote effective interfaces and resolve scheduling issues.
• Oversees outage restoration planning and execution and storm response to expedite critical operations.
• Implements supply chain optimization, including capital strategies and resource allocation.
• Manages budgets, contracts, expenses, and fleet equipment; oversees labor and overtime planning.
• Ensures compliance with FERC, OSHA, SOX, DOT, and related regulations.
