Mohawk Global is seeking a bright-minded Supply Chain Operations Intern to contribute to our growing organization in the fast-paced world of third-party logistics and freight forwarding. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated, detail-oriented student with analytical and business-minded skills.

The intern will support imports, match freight loads with carriers, track shipments, perform data entry and analysis, and assist with industry research while learning from leadership.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student in business, logistics, supply chain or related discipline.
• Experience negotiating with service providers is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support branch operations with imports, including opening shipment files and auditing documentation.
• Match available freight loads with carrier options.
• Track shipments, contact carriers, perform data entry and analysis to support decision making.
• Assist with industry research using the internet
• Participate in meetings to observe company process and enhance learning
• Communicate with carriers and agents to build partnerships and sell Mohawk services
• Negotiate pricing and prepare quotes for clients
• Collaborate with team to achieve departmental goals
