Job summary

Mohawk Global Logistics Corp is seeking aSupply Chain Operations Intern for our Atlanta, GA office. The role offers hands-on experience in third-party logistics with exposure to imports, carrier negotiations, and data analysis.

You will work closely with leadership to support shipment tracking and pricing activities. Ideal candidates are rising undergraduates in business/logistics with strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and solid communication abilities.

Qualifications

• Matriculated rising undergraduate student majoring in business, logistics, supply chain management or related discipline.
• Experience in negotiating with service providers and problem solving for mutual benefit (preferred).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Support branch operations with respect to imports, including opening shipment files and auditing documentation.
• Efficiently match available freight loads with available carrier options.
• Track shipments, contact carriers, perform data entry and analysis to support decision making, filing, and other duties as instructed by Leadership team.
• Assist with industry research using the internet.
• Participate in meetings to observe company process and enhance learning.
• Communicate regularly with carriers and agents to build long-term, trusted partnerships and sell Mohawk services.
• Negotiate pricing and prepare quotes for clients.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals.

Salary Range: $17.00 To $19.00 Hourly

We are currently seeking a bright-minded student to provide value-add contributions to our growing organization as a Supply Chain Operations Intern in our Atlanta, GA office! The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and detail-oriented individual who is excited to showcase their analytical skills and business-minded background within the fast-paced world of third-party logistics and freight forwarding. The contributions from this internship will directly impact Mohawk’s ability to provide exceptional service to our clients and maintain our reputation as a leader in the industry.
