Ryder is hiring a Supply Chain Operations Associate for the 2nd shift in Arlington, TX. The role focuses on supplier coordination, inventory control, and material flow to support GM’s production needs.

You will work Monday–Friday 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, with Saturday shifts as needed; overtime and time-and-a-half opportunities are common. Salary ranges from $50,000 to $52,500 annually with salaried pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 1+ year in administrative experience preferred.
• Knowledge of GM MRP (MGO) is a plus.
• Knowledge of transportation management is a plus.
• Knowledge of material flow in manufacturing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow up all purchased parts to ensure on-time delivery and production support.
• Serve as main contact for suppliers; manage ship schedules and containment plans.
• Develop containment plans to avoid production interruptions.
• Coordinate for alternative sources of material and spot buys if needed.
• Monitor loads and manage material coverage at the lowest cost.
• Review buffers to cover build requirements and manage adjustments.
• Maintain inventory levels in MGO and post adjustments as needed.

We are immediately hiring for a 2nd shift Supply Chain Operations Associate in Arlington, TX for our Supply Chain Solutions division.

• Pay Type: Salaried Non-Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month
• Annual Salary Pay: $50,000 to $52,500 per year
• Schedule: 2nd Shift: This position runs Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM, with Saturday shifts (2:00 PM to 11:30 PM) available as business needs require. Candidates must be flexible and willing to work a 6‑day week when necessary, including occasional Saturdays. In most cases, employees who work Saturdays will receive a weekday off. This role offers consistent overtime opportunities, and employees frequently earn time and a half, even in weeks worked over five days.

The Supply Chain Operations Associate will be responsible for operational functions, (General Motors LLP Account) independent decision making related to material availability and inventory control.

Essential Functions

• Follow-up all purchased parts to ensure shipment and on-time delivery performance to support production requirements
• Serve as main point of contact for all suppliers. Provide direction to suppliers regarding ship schedule requirements and containment plan when behind schedule. Includes decision making on timing for supplier ship schedules - allowing them to push material out, pull ahead and expedite material as needed based on inventory coverage at plant
• Track critical parts and develop/execute containment plan to ensure no interruptions or down time to manufacturing line, inclusive of decision making on mode and required delivery window to ensure continuity of production
• Coordinate and/or arrange for alternative sources of material, requests for spot buys, if necessary (SPO and other GM Plants)
• Independent monitoring, set-up, and cancellation of truck loads for material pick-up, as necessary to support schedule variations. Ensure proper material coverage at lowest possible cost for customer
• Review part buffers to determine that they cover build requirements. (Metal Centers and Powertrain). Document and manage S and AV code exceptions (Assembly Plants) including Alarm Interval maintenance. Determine root‑cause and take appropriate action
• MGO Data Maintenance. Maintain accurate inventory levels in MGO, making appropriate adjustments where necessary. Make judgments on posting inventory adjustments based on investigation and analysis. Investigate and process any record adjustment requests from the previous shift
