Peckham is seeking a 3PL Material Handler to operate in a large warehouse in Lansing, MI, handling inbound and outbound items and assembling kits as needed. You will work with minimal supervision, prioritizing accuracy and pace to meet deadlines while maintaining safety.

The role involves reading and entering 15-digit part numbers, using warehouse equipment like carts and pallet jacks, and adhering to security clearances. Training and ongoing support are provided by Peckham.

ADVANCE.**# 3PL Material Handler - SPIE**Important Details:****SUMMARY**Will work in a large warehouse environment receiving items from delivery trucks, sorting product by NSN and condition code and placing items in the appropriate warehouse area. They could also be picking items for outbound shipments, sorting inbound OCIE shipments or assembling/un-assembling kits. The persons in these positions will work relatively unsupervised throughout the day. Accuracy is extremely important, but speed is also a factor. The worker must be able to recognize discrepant 15-digit part numbers.**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*** May use radio-frequency stock locator.* May use tablet for locations stock.* Reports any discrepancies in orders to Shipping and Receiving Supervisor.* Key in 15-digit part numbers into computer.* Meets established deadlines.* Maintain warehouse equipment by following manufacturer's standards of use and cleaning.* Work with supervisor towards meeting performance standards.* Maintain a safe and clean working environment.* Operate push carts and manual pallet jacks.* Must be able to recognize discrepant 15-digit part numbers.* Enter computerized data and print tags.* Other related duties as assigned.**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*** At least 18 years old.* Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds on a frequent basis.* Must be able lift up to 40 pounds on a moderate basis.* Must be able lift up to 75 pounds occasionally.* Must have reliable transportation to get between job locations.* Must be able to gain and maintain the necessary security clearances.* Basic English reading and writing skills.* Basic math, ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*** Maintain respectful communication, give, and receive feedback.* Ability to follow directions.* Problem solving skills.* Ability to multi-task effectively.* Complete job tasks independently.* Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.**PHYSICAL DEMANDS**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
