Higher Recruitment is partnering with a leading global manufacturing organization to identify a Supply Chain Manager for its Lafayette Hill, PA location. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for an experienced supply chain professional who can combine strategic thinking, advanced analytics, customer collaboration, and operational execution to drive meaningful improvements across a complex supply chain network.

The Supply Chain Manager will lead strategic supply chain initiatives while partnering closely with Sales, Operations, Finance, Commercial, IT, and key customers. This individual will have significant influence on how the organization approaches Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), collaborative replenishment, demand planning, inventory optimization, analytics, and continuous improvement.

Position Overview

This role will lead the development and execution of enterprise-level supply chain strategies designed to improve customer service, working capital, cost, inventory performance, and overall value-chain efficiency.

The successful candidate will be equally comfortable presenting strategic recommendations to executive leadership, working directly with key customers, analyzing complex data, and leading teams through process and organizational change.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the strategic direction for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) and collaborative replenishment programs, establishing consistent standards, governance, and long-term capabilities.
  • Develop and implement best-in-class VMI frameworks, including program design, customer-specific solutions, operating models, and rules of engagement.
  • Serve as a strategic supply chain advisor to executive leadership by translating complex data into actionable insights and business recommendations.
  • Lead the identification, prioritization, and execution of enterprise supply chain initiatives focused on improving cost, service, inventory, and working capital performance.
  • Build, develop, and lead high-performing VMI and analytics teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Establish strong data governance and data integrity standards to ensure consistent, accurate, and scalable information across systems and stakeholders.
  • Develop advanced analytics capabilities that improve forecasting, replenishment, inventory optimization, and overall supply chain performance.
  • Create and implement enterprise KPI frameworks and digital dashboards that provide leadership with clear visibility into supply chain performance.
  • Develop and maintain executive-level relationships with strategic customers, serving as the primary supply chain leader for collaboration and performance improvement.
  • Lead integrated business planning processes, including CPFR and VMI, to align customer demand signals, internal planning, and financial objectives.
  • Develop account-specific supply chain strategies that strengthen customer partnerships while supporting revenue growth and cost optimization.
  • Provide supply chain leadership during M&A integrations, identifying synergies, standardizing processes, and accelerating adoption of best practices.
  • Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies across supply chain processes and teams.
  • Partner with senior leaders across Operations, Finance, Commercial, and IT to develop scalable systems, processes, and solutions.
  • Lead change-management initiatives to ensure successful adoption of new tools, processes, systems, and organizational capabilities.
  • Mentor and develop future supply chain leaders through coaching, training, and exposure to supply chain systems, analytics, and best practices.
  • Stay current on supply chain trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory developments and translate relevant insights into business opportunities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience, including strategic planning, customer collaboration, and operational execution.
  • Demonstrated experience managing complex customer relationships and sophisticated distribution networks with high service expectations.
  • Proven success building, developing, and leading high-performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end supply chain functions, including demand planning, inventory optimization, replenishment strategies, and network operations.
  • Advanced analytical capabilities with the ability to turn complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Demonstrated experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to operate at both the strategic and tactical levels and translate strategy into execution.
  • Exceptional executive communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills with the ability to build alignment among diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in manufacturing, CPG, packaging, printing, or a related industry strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with advanced analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, along with strong knowledge of supply chain planning systems.
  • Customer-focused approach with a track record of creating measurable value and strengthening strategic partnerships.
  • Comfortable leading through ambiguity and change in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for strategic initiatives and key customer engagements.
