Job summary

Digi International’s Opengear Operations team in Sandy, Utah seeks a seasoned Supply Chain Manager to own end-to-end material planning, inventory strategy, freight and supplier performance for a light manufacturing facility.

You will drive inventory reduction, freight savings, and on-time delivery, leading cross-functional initiatives with Engineering, Finance, and Operations. Hybrid role in Sandy.

Qualifications

• 8–10+ years of progressive supply chain experience with a BA degree, or 6–8 years with a Master’s.
• Mastery of procurement, planning, logistics and inventory disciplines.
• Experience reducing inventory and improving working capital in manufacturing.
• Freight optimization, tariff strategy and global sourcing knowledge.
• Experience managing supplier and CM relationships including delivery performance.
• Strong analytical skills with KPIs like inventory turns, OTD, PPV.
• Proficient data analysis in BAQs/ERP queries and Power Query.
• ERP proficiency (Epicor/NetSuite/SAP) and supplier collaboration tools.
• Excellent cross-functional communication with Engineering, Finance, Operations.
• Bachelor’s or higher in related field; formal certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own inventory reduction strategy and safety stock reviews.
• Improve inventory turns; manage CM and excess inventory.
• Oversee consignment inventory across Sandy and CM locations.
• Lead freight cost reduction and tariff-avoidance initiatives.
• Drive strategic sourcing and PPV savings with suppliers.
• Identify project-level cost savings including footprint and sourcing.
• Own on-time delivery through disciplined PO management.
• Collaborate with Engineering on NPI readiness and delivery alignment.
• Monitor supply chain metrics and report risks/opportunities.
• Lead material planning via MRP and manage supplier relationships.
