Job summary

Digi International in Sandy, UT is seeking a Production Lead to guide daily manufacturing operations, ensure quality and safety standards, and drive efficient workflow across the production line.

This role partners with cross‑functional teams to meet production goals, trains staff on SOPs and safety practices, monitors flow, performs in‑process quality checks, resolves bottlenecks, and identifies process improvements, while coordinating with supply chain on material needs.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in manufacturing, assembly, or production operations.
• Demonstrated leadership or team lead experience.
• Strong communication and team coaching skills.
• Ability to read work instructions and follow SOPs.
• Basic computer skills (Excel, ERP systems, or production tracking tools).
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support production line staff in completing daily tasks.
• Assign workstations, balance workloads, and adjust staffing as needed.
• Train team members on SOPs, safety practices, and assembly processes.
• Monitor production flow and resolve bottlenecks or interruptions.
• Perform in-process quality checks and elevate issues as needed.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, quality standards, and safety protocols.
• Verify materials, tools, and equipment readiness prior to production.
• Coordinate with supply chain or inventory teams on material needs.
• Track production metrics including output, scrap, and downtime.
• Communicate updates during shift handoffs and team meetings.
• Identify and recommend process improvements.
