Job Summary
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing inventory controls, distribution, demand planning, and performance reporting to ensure seamless operations across new and existing retail locations.
Salary Range:
$85,000-$100,000 annually
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management
- Brand Stores Replenishment: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure stores and retail systems are adequately stocked. Implement inventory control processes to minimize overstock and stock-outs.
- Main Goal: Maintain a 100% (minimum 98.5%) in-stock rate across all stores and brands.
- New Store Setup: Manage supply chain requirements for setting up new automated retail locations, including timely delivery and installation of products. Lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful launches of new stores, including tasks like planograms and vend testing.
- Replenishment & Store Maintenance: Develop and maintain an efficient replenishment system for existing stores. Regularly review store performance and adjust supply strategies to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Warehouse and Shrink: Oversee warehouse operations, including storage, handling, and distribution of inventory (pick/pack/ship). Develop strategies to reduce shrinkage and improve inventory accuracy within warehouse and store systems.
- Demand Planning and Performance Reporting
- Demand Forecasting: Utilize sales data, historical trends, and market analysis to accurately forecast demand and optimize the supply chain to meet retail needs based on supply chain processes.
- Reporting & Analysis: Regularly generate and review supply chain reports, including inventory levels, delivery timelines, supplier performance, and cost analysis. Leverage data to drive insights and make informed decisions.
- Performance Metrics: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, on-time delivery, inventory turnover, sell-thru, and cost per unit. Use these metrics to align supply chain improvements with business objectives.
- Open to Buy: Develop and lead monthly budget/forecast process at the SKU and Store level with financial impacts.
- Vendor and Cross-Functional Relationships
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, operations, product development, finance, and other teams to align supply chain activities with business goals and product launches.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of products and components.
- Technology Integration: Leverage supply chain management software and automation tools to enhance visibility, track inventory, and improve decision-making processes.
- Logistics Coordination: Coordinate and oversee the transportation and distribution of goods, ensuring timely deliveries to retail locations. Collaborate with logistics partners to optimize shipping routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery efficiency.
- Process Optimization: Identify inefficiencies in the supply chain and develop solutions to improve operations, including cost reduction, lead time improvement, and supplier performance.
- Quality Control: Ensure all products and components meet quality standards before distribution. Resolve quality issues or supply chain disruptions with vendors and internal teams.
- Budget Management: Manage the supply chain budget, including procurement, transportation, and warehousing costs. Implement strategies to optimize spending without compromising quality or availability.
