Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage day-to-day warehouse, inventory, order fulfillment, and shipping operations.
  • Evaluate and improve warehouse and inventory processes for accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Establish standardized processes for receiving, put-away, storage, inventory movements, picking, packing, and returns.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records; perform cycle counts and reconciliations.
  • Ensure ERP transactions for receiving, movements, shipments, RMAs, and adjustments are timely.
  • Coordinate domestic and international shipping, documentation, and carrier issues.
  • Develop SOPs, work instructions, and training materials for inventory activities.
  • Collaborate with Quality to ensure compliance with medical-device requirements.
  • Develop and maintain purchase and inventory plans based on forecasts and demand.
  • Monitor inventory levels, aging, shortages, obsolescence; take corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve shortages and quality concerns.
  • Lead KPI development for supply chain and warehouse operations.

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management and continuous improvement of Murata Vios U.S. supply chain, inventory, warehouse, and shipping operations. This position owns Purchase/Production, Inventory (PSI) planning, inventory control, supplier management, warehouse operations, order fulfillment, shipping, returns, and related ERP processes.

The Supply Chain Manager will evaluate current warehouse and inventory management practices, establish effective controls and standard processes, and implement improvements that increase inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, traceability, and on-time delivery. This is a hands-on operational role that provides support with day-to-day warehouse and shipping activities.

What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)
  • Own and manage day-to-day warehouse, inventory, order fulfillment, and shipping operations.
  • Evaluate existing warehouse and inventory processes, implementing improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, organization, and scalability.
  • Establish and maintain standardized processes for receiving, put-away, storage, inventory movement, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure physical inventory aligns with ERP inventory through cycle counting, physical inventory, reconciliation, and variance investigation.
  • Maintain effective inventory location, bin, lot, serial number, and product traceability controls, as applicable.
  • Ensure accurate and timely ERP transactions for receiving, inventory movements, shipments, RMAs, and inventory adjustments.
  • Coordinate and perform domestic and international shipping activities, including shipping documentation, carrier transactions, shipment tracking, and resolution of shipping issues.
  • Coordinate RMA receipt, identification, segregation, system transactions, and disposition with appropriate departments.
  • Maintain an organized, secure, safe, and efficient warehouse environment and develop applicable SOPs, work instructions, and training documentation.
  • Coordinate with Quality to ensure warehouse, inventory, shipping, and product-handling processes comply with applicable Quality System and medical-device requirements.
  • Develop and maintain purchase and inventory plans based on sales forecasts, customer demand, lead times, and inventory requirements.
  • Manage PSI planning to maintain appropriate product availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Monitor inventory levels, usage, aging, shortages, and obsolescence risk and initiate corrective actions when necessary.
  • Manage and evaluate supplier performance, including product quality, on-time delivery, pricing, lead time, minimum order quantity (MOQ), and part information.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to resolve shortages, delivery issues, quality concerns, and other supply disruptions.
  • Develop supply chain strategies and operating processes that support changing business requirements and customer demand.
  • Coordinate supply chain activities with Murata teams in the United States, Japan, India, and other locations as required.
  • Serve as the business process owner for warehouse, inventory, fulfillment, and shipping processes and associated ERP functionality.
  • Identify manual, inefficient, or high-risk processes and implement practical improvements, automation, and system controls.
  • Establish and maintain KPIs for supply chain and warehouse operations and lead corrective and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Partner with Quality, Finance, Customer Service, Sales, and other departments to ensure effective end-to-end order and inventory management.
What Is Required (Qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, inventory management, logistics, warehouse operations, or a related field.
  • Experience managing inventory and warehouse processes in an ERP or warehouse management system.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, purchasing, demand planning, order fulfillment, and shipping processes.
  • Ability to evaluate existing processes, identify gaps, and implement sustainable operational improvements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including interpretation of forecasts, inventory data, supplier performance, and operational KPIs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills, strong organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively across departments, suppliers, and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Willingness and ability to perform hands-on warehouse and shipping activities as needed.
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • Experience in a medical-device, healthcare, or other regulated industry; knowledge of FDA Quality System requirements is preferred.
  • Experience implementing or improving ERP/WMS-based warehouse and inventory processes, including barcode scanning, serial/lot-controlled inventory, or process automation.
  • Experience managing domestic and international logistics; prior supervisory or management experience.
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement experience.

Minimum Salary: $97,894

Maximum Salary: $131,055
