Hutchinson is seeking a senior Supply Chain leader to manage the SCM team across multiple sites in the United States. The role focuses on defining and deploying group SCM strategies, improving logistics, and ensuring high service levels.
You will oversee customer service, advanced SCM deployment, production and supplier scheduling, and physical flow management while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an automotive and industrial environment.
Manage the SCM team of their activity and ensure that SC tasks in each site are fulfilled by the existing organization at the right level.
Develop SC skills in the sites of the activity
Deploy in their activity the Group SC strategies and the associated standards, methodologies and tools.
Define and exploit synergies in transportation and logistics within the activity
Share best practices between activity sites
Support the SC team in the activity's sites in continuous improvement actions concerning the supply chain
Support sites in the adaptation/implementation/use of their supply chain information system.
Help sites in the event of the risk of customer shutdown due to supply chain issues.
Define and implement good supply chain practices in the division's product projects.
Customer Service: Ensure high service levels and timely issue resolution for internal and external customers.
Advanced SCM: Lead system deployment, packaging optimization, and ECO management across sites.
Production Scheduling: Oversee planning to align production with demand and capacity.
Supplier Scheduling: Ensure timely material availability and supplier performance.
Physical Flow: Manage warehouse and transportation operations, optimizing logistics and inventory flow.
Directly supervises the Supply Chain team across multiple sites.
Responsible for staffing, performance management, training, and development of team members.
Refer to the Organizational Chart for detailed reporting structure.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proficiency in ERP and supply chain software systems.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; MBA strongly preferred.
Minimum of 20 years of experience in the industry, with at least 15 years in supply chain or related functions.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP systems and knowledge of Infor ERP (MAPICS) preferred.
APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP) is a plus.
Experience with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) systems
Familiarity with automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, ISO 9001).
Primarily office-based with regular visits to manufacturing, warehouse, and logistics areas.
Exposure to industrial environments with noise, moving equipment, and varying temperatures.
Collaborative and fast-paced setting requiring adaptability and cross-functional coordination.
May involve travel to domestic and international sites.
