Job summary

RTX in McKinney, Texas, is seeking an experienced Material Program Manager to lead supply chain strategies across the AFS programs. The role reports to the AFS SCM Lead and drives material planning, supplier management, and cost-conscious program execution.

Candidates must hold a DoD secret clearance, be a U.S. citizen, and have IPT leadership experience. Onsite work in McKinney is required.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent with 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Advanced Degree in a related field with 5+ years experience.
  • Active and transferable Secret clearance is required before start date.
  • Experience leading IPTs and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Advise the Supply Chain Management Lead and the Program Management Office on material strategies, plans and supplier risk mitigation activities.
  • Support development, coordination and execution of all program material strategies, supply chain objectives, and enterprise objectives; involvement of early supplier involvement focused on strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Support Supply Chain proposal activities including task descriptions and basis of estimates that support price to win targets.
  • Support the development and execution of material program plans (MPP) and establish material sales forecasts for assigned programs.
  • Support the development and execution of risk/opportunity plans to meet program objectives.
  • Balance strategic thinking with tactical application of strategies to programs.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create a common schedule based on MRP; monitor performance metrics and address issues.
  • This role will require you to be onsite in our McKinney TX facility.

Raytheon is seeking an experienced professional with a strong and proven successful background in Supply Chain and Program Management to fill a critical Material Program Manager (MPM) within the AFS suite of programs. The Material Program Manager will report directly to the AFS Supply Chain Management Lead. The manager will be responsible for supporting the development and execution of supply chain strategies, material program and supplier management plans, supporting capture/proposal and design-to-cost initiatives throughout all phases of the product life cycle. The manager will be the catalyst for program execution of the Supply Chain Strategy and activities including ensuring an appropriate budget, adequate resources, managing schedule, and compliance to requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Functionally with Engineering, Quality and Operations to create common schedule based on Material Requirements Planning (MRP)Monitor performance metrics and proactively act to address program and functional issues.
  • This role will require you to be onsite in our McKinney TX, facility.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years’ experience.
  • Experienced leader communicating and presenting to all levels of Management and senior leadership.
  • Experience in material forecasting and managing budgets.
  • Experience in Integrated Product Team (IPT)/Cross functional teams, including leading an IPT.
  • Active and transferable Secret clearance is required. U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance prior to start date.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with government regulations (i.e., FAR/DFAR, ITAR/EAR, TINA, etc.)
  • Experience with Design to Cost and Cost Reduction Initiative activities.
  • Experience with developing and analyzing performance metrics as well as experience proactively addressing associated program and functional issues.
  • Experience with Proposal and New Business Capture.
  • Experience with program start up in a development environment.

The salary range for this role is 107,500 USD - 204,500 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
