SUMMARY : We are looking for a dynamic Supply Chain Manager to join our team at our Camfil USA manufacturing facility in Kilgore, TX. In this role, you will report directly to the Plant Manager, while also working collaboratively with Corporate Supply Chain. The Supply Chain Manager will oversee and manage the supply chain process for our manufacturing plant. This includes procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain operations, maintain high-quality standards, and support the plant's production goals. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational accountability, and personnel policies and procedures. You will develop training programs, and activities to monitor and improve quality of service and customer expectations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: In addition to those listed in the Summary section above, the following are duties necessary for the position:

Operational Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end supply chain process: procurement, logistics, inventory, warehousing, and distribution.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service levels across the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, customer service, quality, engineering) to meet daily and long-term operational goals.
  • Identify and drive process improvements through data analysis and Lean/Just-In-Time (JIT) principles.
  • Monitor KPIs and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement
Inventory & Warehouse Management
  • Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, material flow, and shipping.
  • Ensure inventory accuracy through strong control systems, cycle counts, and reconciliation processes.
  • Plan and optimize warehouse layout, space utilization, and material handling practices.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team across warehouse, shipping, and receiving departments.
  • Lead hiring, training, performance evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and safety-focused work environment.
Logistics & Vendor Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with freight carriers, suppliers, and third-party logistics providers.
  • Optimize shipping routes, freight costs, and delivery schedules.
  • Coordinate with customer service to ensure accurate and timely communication related to shipments and inventory.
Compliance, Safety & Quality
  • Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies to maintain a secure workplace.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal procedures, including hazardous material handling (if applicable).
  • Promote sustainable practices in warehousing and logistics, such as reducing waste and energy usage.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and ethical standards in procurement and distribution.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–7 years of progressive supply chain or warehouse management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Domestic and international logistics experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in ERP and WMS systems; strong understanding of integration between warehouse and enterprise platforms.
  • Solid grasp of inventory control methods (FIFO, LIFO, EOQ), demand planning, and material flow.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and JIT principles; knowledge of relevant KPIs (inventory turnover, OTIF, lead time, etc.).
  • Strong data analysis skills to identify inefficiencies and drive continuous improvement.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with both internal stakeholders and external partners.
  • Understanding of OSHA standards and safe handling of hazardous materials (if applicable).
  • Budget management experience, including labor and equipment costs.
  • High attention to detail, professionalism, flexibility, and a strong commitment to operational excellence.
  • Proficient with PCs, Microsoft Suite, timekeeping, and other data management systems.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to office, warehouse, and plant environments. The work environment will require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) in certain areas. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization’s facilities.
