Job summary

Conagra Brands in Centralia, IL is hiring a Supply Chain Manager to oversee planning, procurement, warehousing, transportation and customer service at our food manufacturing plant. The role reports to the Plant Manager and partners with corporate teams to resolve service and deployment issues, drive cost reductions, and lead demand planning for product launches.

Candidates should have a Bachelor's in SCM, 5+ years of experience, SAP/WMS proficiency, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain including planning, transportation, or warehousing
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional project management and process improvement
  • SAP expertise (production planning & materials management); WMS experience preferred
  • Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP); Word/Outlook/PowerPoint proficiency
  • Strong analytical skills with data-driven decision making
  • Excellent written and verbal communication across organizational levels
  • Familiarity with JIT in manufacturing
  • APICS or similar certification preferred
  • Experience in matrixed organizations

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations including planning, procurement, warehousing, transportation, and customer service.
  • Lead warehousing, receiving, planning, and scheduling teams (roughly 30–35 staff).
  • Drive 5S continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Promote a customer-first mindset across supply chain functions.
  • Serve as liaison with strategic retail customers and internal teams.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve service and deployment issues.
  • Optimize processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor supplier performance using KPIs and support supplier development.
  • Analyze logistics deductions and fees; address root causes.
  • Conduct regular business reviews with stakeholders.
  • Support sales initiatives by aligning supply chain with business goals.
  • Lead demand planning for product launches and transitions.

Job description

We're hiring a Supply Chain Manager to work onsite at our food manufacturing plant in Centralia, IL. This role oversees Planning, Scheduling, Procurement, Warehousing, and Transportation to ensure strong customer service performance while managing inventory and distribution costs. The Supply Chain Manager reports directly to the Plant Manager and serves as a key liaison with corporate teams to proactively resolve service, scheduling, and deployment issues.

A Taste Of Your Responsibilities
  • Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations: planning, procurement, warehousing, transportation, and customer service.
  • Lead teams in warehousing, receiving, planning, scheduling – typical rollup will be 30-35 in total
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (5S) by challenging existing processes and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Promote a customer-first mindset across supply chain functions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with strategic retail customers and internal teams.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to resolve service, scheduling, and deployment issues.
  • Optimize supply chain processes to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor supplier performance using KPIs; support supplier development.

Ingredients Required For Your Success
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain, including planning, transportation, or warehousing.
  • Proven leadership in cross-functional project management and process improvement.
  • Proficient in SAP (production planning and materials management); WMS experience preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP); proficient in Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience interpreting data to drive decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all organizational levels.

Physical Requirements

Compensation

Pay Range:$82,000-$120,000

The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
