Medline Industries in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead inventory optimization, planning and continuous improvement. You will direct teams across manufacturing and distribution, resolve daily issues, and ensure alignment with customer needs and production schedules.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or 10 years of equivalent experience, 5+ years in manufacturing or distribution, and hands-on experience with MRP, forecasting and SAP.

Job SummaryWe're looking for a Supply Chain Manager who is passionate about improving processes, optimizing inventory performance, and driving operational excellence within a manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys identifying opportunities, solving complex supply chain challenges, and leading teams through continuous improvement initiatives.In this role, you will oversee, plan, monitor and manage teams supporting the Supply Chain. Ensure departmental and support personnel are focused on continuous improvement of processes. Promote alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization.Job DescriptionMAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide direction to teams in Supply Chain. Analyze, resolve or escalate inventory issues. Ensure daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly tasks of Supply Chain teams meet standards.Resolve daily Supply Chain issues. Direct team regarding issue resolution and continuous improvement.Communicate to senior management Supply Chain and service issues with short and long term recommendations on resolution.Ensure inventory plans and execution of plans are consistent with Supply Chain goals.Provide support to internal manufacturing operations.Prepare and present forward-looking, future projections of inventory, volume, service, planning, capacity, and space considerations. Assure that the system parameters are correct. Manage communication between Teams.Management responsibilities include:Typically oversees professional employees/teams OR typically manages non-professional employees through Supervisors in manufacturing, distribution or office environmentsDay-to-day operations of a group of employees.May have limited budgetary responsibility and usually contributes to budgetary impact;Interpret and execute policies for departments/projects and develops.Recommend and implement new policies or modifications to existing policies.Provide general guidelines and parameters for staff functioning.Hiring staff, recommending pay increases, performing performance reviews, training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work, meeting completion dates, interpreting and ensuring consistent application of organizational policies.MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:Education:Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of equivalent experienceCertification / Licensure:NoneWork Experience:At least 5 years manufacturing, distribution or purchasing experience.Experience demonstrating knowledge level of MRP, buying, demand management and forecasting.Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:Position requires the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages and volume.Position requires the ability to apply concepts of algebra and business statistics.Advanced level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using AVERAGE function, merging and centering cells, printing centered page and/or creating a pivot table).PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:Education:Bachelor’s DegreeWork Experience:Experience in import logistics, inventory planning and transportation.Experience managing people, including hiring, developing, motivating and directing people as they work.Experience with SAP.Medline Industries, LP, and its subsidiaries, offer a competitive total rewards package, continuing education & training, and tremendous potential with a growing worldwide organization.The anticipated salary range for this position:$116,000.00 - $174,000.00 AnnualThe actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.Our benefit package includes health insurance, life and disability, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, etc., for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average.
