Activities
- Creating the company’s supply chain strategy
- Review and update supply chain practices and establish a mid/long term planning model
- Analyse data and resolve issues, making process changes where appropriate
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Communicate and negotiate with suppliers and vendors to land more profitable deals
- Find cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes
- Drive weekly operational reviews
- Evaluate and report on KPI’s
- Identify, understand and eliminate losses by predicting demand for products and adopting appropriate technology/processes
- Management of the Purchasing, Material Planning, Scheduling and Finished Goods Logistics team, providing absence cover and flexibility as appropriate
- Coach and develop the team to meet ongoing requirements of department
Measurables
- Planning accuracy – integrated mid/long term planning (materials and capacity
- Inventory turnover – aligned procurement and production planning
- OTIF & Service level - scheduling aligned with real demand & material availability
- Scrap and waste – accurate scheduling and capacity matching
- ERP/MRP optimization – identify and eliminate losses though optimized Oracle utilization
- Reporting speed and quality – standard dashboards and process ownership

Ensuring compliance of new business solutions and processes with the Quality Management system
Operational activities in terms of:

Actively engaged with safety observations and making recommendations; timely completion of documentation and follow up, complying with all implemented standards.
Person Specification
Qualifications and Knowledge
Required
- MRP/ERP experience (preferably SAP)
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, MS Office programs and other digital tools
- Supply Chain / Logistics / Business Administration degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Desirable
• Auditing qualification

- Internal auditing experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven experience within a Supply Chain/Production environment
- Continuous Improvement (Lean/Kaizen)
- Able to understand and comprehend technical data and analyse reporting
- Problem solving and trouble shooting skills
- Methodical with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to identify areas for improvement and implement changes
- Analytical approach
- Ability to identify and manage KPI’s
Desirable
- Experience of working within a manufacturing environment with a strong Health and Safety culture
- Experience of lean manufacturing
