Job summary

Siemens Mobility is seeking a mid-level SCM-Procurement / Supply Chain Logistics professional for our Fort Worth, TX facility. The role focuses on turning supply chain data into smarter decisions, optimizing procurement, inventory, and P2P processes to ensure production continuity and cost-efficiency.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing supply chain, strong SAP/ERP experience, and proficiency in Excel and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Engineering or related discipline (or advanced degree).
  • 5+ years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment (buyer, planner, inventory or materials specialist).
  • Hands-on experience with SAP or other ERP for purchasing, inventory management, MRP, or materials planning.
  • Data analysis and forecasting using Excel and SAP.
  • Experience using Microsoft Power BI or Tableau for reporting and insights.
  • Knowledge of inventory management, procurement coordination, forecasting, warehouse operations, and performance reporting.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute supply chain improvement projects to increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Measure performance and prepare reports and dashboards for management using Power BI or Tableau.
  • Utilize SAP, warehouse management systems, and MRP processes to support material planning and manufacturing operations.

As a Supply Chain and Inventory Specialist supporting electrical products manufacturing, you will turn supply chain data into smarter decisions that improve material availability, inventory performance, and production continuity. By strengthening procurement, warehouse, and Purchase-to-Pay processes, you will help create the resilient flow of materials and information needed to manufacture reliable electrical infrastructure. This role is based on-site at our Fort Worth, Texas manufacturing facility, where close collaboration with production and supply chain teams is essential.

You will make an impact by:
  • Collecting and analyzing supply chain, procurement, and inventory data in SAP and Microsoft Excel to identify improvement opportunities and support fact-based decisions.
  • Monitoring inventory levels, material requirements, and warehouse activity to improve material availability, reduce excess stock, and maintain production continuity.
  • Coordinating the procurement of indirect materials with suppliers, purchasing teams, Production, and Project Management to support timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Improving Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes by strengthening information flow, transaction accuracy, and cross-functional accountability.
  • Developing and executing supply chain improvement projects that increase inventory accuracy, procurement effectiveness, warehouse performance, and operational efficiency.
  • Measuring supply chain performance and preparing actionable reports, dashboards, and recommendations for management using Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools.
  • Utilizing SAP, warehouse management systems, and Material Requirements Planning (MRP) processes to support material planning, inventory control, and reliable manufacturing operations.
You’ll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, or an advanced degree.
  • Bring five or more years of supply chain experience as a buyer, planner, inventory specialist, materials specialist, or in a related role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Have hands-on experience using SAP or another Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for purchasing, inventory management, Material Requirements Planning (MRP), or materials planning.
  • Have applied data analysis and forecasting techniques to develop actionable insights using Microsoft Excel and SAP.
  • Have experience using Microsoft Office and data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI or Tableau.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of inventory management, procurement coordination, forecasting, warehouse operations, and supply chain performance reporting.
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Hold an Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM) certification, including Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM).
  • Have supported electrical products, low-voltage equipment, industrial manufacturing, or high-mix production environments.
  • Have developed supply chain dashboards, forecasts, process metrics, and management reports.
  • Have improved Purchase-to-Pay processes, inventory accuracy, supplier performance, or warehouse management operations.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal and collaboration skills when working with production teams, project managers, customers, and suppliers.
  • Have applied negotiation, problem-solving, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement skills in a manufacturing environment.
  • A combination of education and directly related work experience will also be considered in lieu of a degree.
