Cardinal Health is seeking an Inventory/Purchasing professional to support materials handling, supplier management, and purchase order execution in an SAP ECC environment. The role focuses on accuracy, timely communications, and cost-conscious purchasing in a distribution/manufacturing setting.

You will document confirmations, chase late POs, and assist in backorder resolution while maintaining SOPs and providing backup support when needed.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience preferred
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred
• Good customer service and strong communication skills
• Experience with computer systems

Responsibilities

• Document PO confirmations via group mailbox
• Contact suppliers lacking confirmations
• Follow up on overdue POs and update ETA/tracking
• Assist with backorder root-cause and recovery
• Resolve discrepancies with Planner; pricing, UOM
• Coordinate with receiving plants on discrepancies
• Prioritize work using tools and document actions
• Manage POs through SAP/ECC as stock transport orders
• Verify DN drops and Goods Issued
• Assist Planner/Buyer with component status updates
• Collaborate with distribution planners on back-order ETA
• Develop/update SOPs; train new hires as needed
• Provide back-up support when Planner/Buyer is absent
