Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a Supply Chain Inventory/Purchasing professional in Wisconsin to manage supplier relations and ensure timely delivery of products. You will handle tactical PO execution, expediting orders, and coordinating with planners to resolve discrepancies.

The role requires basic experience, strong communication, and customer service skills. You will work with SAP/ECC to manage stock transport orders and support SOP development while providing backup coverage when needed.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of experience preferred
• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience preferred
• Good Customer Service Experience
• Excellent Communication Skills: written and verbal
• Good Problem Solving / Decision making Skills
• Experience with computer systems

Responsibilities

• Document in-coming PO confirmation via Work Group Mailbox
• Contact suppliers who do not provide confirmations
• Follow up on past due PO lines and updated ETA/tracking
• Assist with back order follow-up for root cause and resolution
• Manage discrepancies with Planner; pricing, UOM
• Coordinate with receiving plants on receiving discrepancies
• Prioritize work and document actions using tools
• Manage all Purchase orders through SAP/ECC as Stock Transport Orders
• Verify delivery note drops and goods issued
• Assist Planner/Buyer with component status updates
• Coordinate with Distribution planners for back-order ETA and shipments
• Develop and maintain SOPs and schedules; train new staff
• Provide backup support when Planner/Buyer is absent
