Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking a motivated Supply Chain Intern to gain hands-on experience with project teams across our operating groups. You will learn how materials are sourced, cataloged, and delivered, while supporting procurement activities on real projects.

The internship runs May–August 2027 and targets undergraduates in Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Construction Management, or engineering.

Qualifications

Currently pursuing an undergraduate, four-year degree in Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Construction Management, Engineering, or other related degree

Responsibilities

Learn about materials typically purchased by team of buyers and purchasing agents
Create and maintain catalogs for each operating group
Standardize material descriptions and categories and implement changes
Assist in purchase transactions
Track order status from time of placing order until delivery and communicate status to project teams
Enter purchase orders and maintain contact with suppliers to ensure delivery of material on a timely basis
Visit job sites or equipment facilities to better understand materials and organizational structure
Work with Supply Chain Analyst and team of buyers throughout internship
